Lysanne Wilkens is a journalist, photographer, and anthropologist. Her work focuses on contemporary issues with a socio-cultural focus, sometimes in the Netherlands, often in other parts of the world. She has previously written about tourism in Bali after the covid crisis and the struggles of Kenyan elite runners.

 

In addition, Lysanne is passionate about sports, especially running. As an avid long-distance runner, she can be found at races both in the Netherlands and abroad, from 5k to marathons. When she's not at the starting line herself, she prefers to follow the action with her camera.
